Arranging waste removal is a simple process once you know the answers to a few common dumpster rental questions. Use these FAQs to determine the right dumpster service for your needs.
It’s usually best to error on the larger side when selecting a dumpster so you don’t have to do two rentals. Use 20-cubic yard dumpsters for larger projects like a kitchen remodel or a basement cleanout. 12-cubic yard dumpsters can be used for smaller projects like a bathroom remodel or a garage cleanout. For smaller projects, less than 12 cubic yards, its more economical to use our On-Demand service which does include the labor.
The price varies depending on size, weight, rental days and location. Before you rent a dumpster, you will be given a fixed price from our website or our call center employee. You can learn more by going to our pricing page on our website.
There are two ways to set up a rental. Our website can schedule a job 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Just look for the yellow schedule online box. The other option, if you have more questions, is to call our 1-800 number and talk to our call center. The call center is available during normal business hours Monday through Saturday.
We have a fully automated system for scheduling rentals and it’s 100% reliable. The system allows our customers to select a 2-hour window for their appointment on any day that is convenient for you. After scheduling, you will receive a confirmation email from our system. In addition, you will receive a reminder email 24 hours prior to the scheduled drop off.
On the day of the delivery, our driver will give you a call at 20-30 minutes prior to our arrival. If your appointment window was 2-4PM, that call could be between 1:30 and 3:40PM. After the driver arrives with the dumpster, they will get your guidance on where to place the dumpster. Once the dumpster is set in place, we will work through the paperwork and take credit, check or cash payment. You will receive a receipt for the rental by email. During the scheduling process, the confirmation email will provide a weight limit for the dumpster rental. We have set our maximum weights so that 95% of our rentals will never exceed the allowed weight. Talk to our drivers during the delivery process to confirm how much can be placed in the dumpster so that the maximum weight is not reached. Also, do not over fill the dumpster to where the debris is heaping over the top. The items in the dumpster must be level with the top of the dumpster. Please note that our trucks can only haul 4.5 tons in total weight. If the dumpster weighs more than that amount, it will be up to the customer to offload some of the weight so that our trucks can remove the dumpster.
Our rental period is either 3 or 7 days. If you would like to keep the dumpster for longer, please let us know when scheduling the dumpster for delivery. We can accommodate rental periods for longer than 7 days but it may come with an additional cost. Please contact our call center if you are interested in a rental period longer than 7 days.
Once the rental period is up, we will pick up the dumpster on the customer selected pickup day. The driver will not contact you and you are not required to be there for the pickup. Assuming the weight of the dumpster is less than the maximum, the rental process is over and no additional fees will be charged.
The price of dumpsters can vary based on size, additional days or total weight. At the time of scheduling the rental, you will be able to select the total number of days and the size of the dumpster. The total weight of the dumpster is determined by our customers. So, the customer has complete control over what is being charged. Our goal is to be upfront on our pricing.
