Portland (503) 928-6894Living in the Land ‘o Green!
Friday February 3rd 2012
Oregon’s clean energy policies, environmental consciousness, and commitment to recycling have earned us our nickname: the Green State.
As a native Oregonian, these green values are one of the main reasons I love living here. It seems like the majority of people I meet – and certainly those we meet through Rubbish Works of Portland – really do care about the health of our citizens, landscapes and water ways. We care about the planet and each other, and we love living in a place so lush and green. We’ve learned together, how to reduce our individual and collective carbon footprint, and it seems like most of us are doing our best to make that happen.
When Larry and I started our Rubbish Works business, we did it because the greener, cleaner model aligned with our own personal values, and also because we felt our fellow Oregonians would openly embrace a company that genuinely cared about the environment. We know we were right, when we get this kind of feedback from loyal customers:
“Tossing unwanted items into a landfill is the sort of thing that keeps me awake at night. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been hauling around boxes of unwanted items, not sure where to take them. Thanks to Rubbish Works, I can park my car in my garage again and I can rest easy, knowing that the things I no longer need or want have been sorted, donated or recycled for their best purpose. You guys are the best!” D. Olsson, Lake Oswego OR
When you’re ready for some rubbish removal or organizational support, you can count on Rubbish Works to be your Clean, Green, Oregon-friendly resource for better living.
Until next time,
~Betty
